The red banana is a variety of the banana and is slightly smaller compared to a regular banana. The skin is reddish-brown in color, the flesh is creamy white to pale pink. The texture of a red banana is very soft compared to a ‘normal’ banana. The banana is also sweeter in taste.

Bananas do not grow on a tree but on a plant. It is often thought that bananas grow on a tree because they can grow up to 12 meters high!
